In school I participated in extra-curricular theatre projects, during my studies as well. In 2012 we had two courses at uni – one for film and one for theatre – which presented a cross-medial play at a conference. In the film I played the female main character, in the theatre course I became the director by accident. And loved it. In 2024 I got a chance to work in theatre again, this time as the director’s assistant and after one actress left the ensemble I also jumped in and played a minor role. After that I was hooked again and decided to dive deeper into it and booked an online course with the renown director Marcelo Díaz to learn more about dramaturgy and directing. Working with a text and seeing it come together like a huge puzzle piece of people and perceptions is another level to experience the power of language, the connection with the audience, the work with the ensemble. It’s watching an idea, a thought, a text come to life.
