🇬🇧 yeah, I know it’s not Wednesday anymore, but due to a weird week, my schedule was a bit off. Nevertheless, as of now the #writerswednesday post is available in English and German. • F*cking Fear • Fear paralyse sheer Paradise for neurotic narcotics dulling your brain They drain you And gain hue in a world of black and white They unite with frustration and doubt They scream and shout lies into you ears until you are possessed by fears too paralysed to move No paradise No truth A fearful, frightening fiction becoming an addiction because we crave what we know and fear will show us a horror movie of all the things we can’t be and never will So we stand still . . As the #work on my upcoming #book includes dealing with characters that have been through a lot in their lives, #fear is a topic that cannot be circumvented or ignored. Have you ever been afraid, felt fear? And if so, what made you #fearful ? Was it a real threat? Like a life endangering thing? Fear is a natural reflex to #survive and ignorance is not #bliss in this context. But nowadays it seems we fear things that rather need to be analysed than fled from. Oftentimes it seems, what we fear most lies in the #future , isn’t it? “I fear I might lose my #job “ But right now you have a job, don’t you? “I fear my partner might leave me” But right now your partner is there, right? “I fear the moment my parents are going to die” But right now they are alive, right? • Catharsis • The angels weep and I can’t sleep, depression too deep, too much to weep, what you sow is what you reap, and I sowed catastrophe wherever I be I left burnt soil and ashes. Now I stand in front of the trashes of my former life and what I held, complete mess, oh how I felt invincible and unbreakable and strong and now I float along the stream of tears that these angels weep, a reminder so deep of heaven and divinity after I went through hell slowly remembering who I was and wanted to be. I weep with the angels and let it out beautiful catharsis my heart screams and shout and reminds me that it is and will always be stronger than the waves that try to swallow me. Cause I’m the daughter of storm itself, of the moon and oceans so deep, so every drop I weep adds to the water carrying me. • Relentless Rising • . Every day I’m close to giving up but then I raise my look to the skies right up above and no matter how shook the sun relentlessly keeps climbing up. So, which right do I own to stop before I have shown what I have got to give? Before I truly knew what it means to live? So, as relentlessly as the sun keeps getting up I rise from my knees no matter how weak and I climb and crawl and keep getting up, showing up cause I owe it to the love that was placed into my heart. So I start to believe and pray and stop to beg, I raise my look, I stretch my leg and keep on making art. . . Gina Laventura © 2018 . . .
